Clark County Fair 2007

This year we actually managed to make it to the Clark County Fair with the kids. We went together with Evans' friend Michael and his parents. Unfortunately it was a very hot day, and we didn't bring our stroller, so it was quite exhausting for all of us (especially considering that I have gotten HUGE)! Anyways, here are some pictures.

The thing he liked best was the Pony Ride however. He had saved up his sticker chart and was so excited to actually sit on a pony. He was not scared at all, and talked about it for the rest of the week. Whenever we asked him if he liked the train ride or the car carousel better, he would think about it for a moment, and then say "Pony Ride" with a big smile on his face! Have fun!

Pool Fun!

Here are two layouts I made about our trips to the pool. Evan is having such a good time every time we go there. He loves being in the water! Have fun!

Cannon Beach, Oregon

Another trip we made while my mom was here was to the beach. It was Evan's first time at the beach, and our first time in many years. The weather was great. It was extremely windy though, so you didn't notice the heat as much. As a result, Charles and I ended up getting a sunburn. Luckily we were smart enough to put lots of sunscreen on Evan, and apparently it worked well. He did not get burnt by the sun, neither did my mom. Here are my favorite pictures of the day. We are hoping to make another trip to the beach before fall.

Evan wasn't sure what to think of the "moving" water at first, but after his dad played with him in the waves for a while, he decided that it was the funnest thing to run into the waves and back out. He didn't want to stop playing at all, even when he started having blue lips and was shaking all over. He also wasn't too happy when it was time to go home. He is a total beach boy!

Here are a few more.

These pictures I took before we left for the beach. After all it was Independence Day, and I had to have some pictures taken of Evans' very first 4th of July!

Have fun everyone!

A Day out with Thomas

While my mom was here we went to Mt. Hood Railroad at Mt. Hood, Oregon, to spend a "Day out with Thomas". Evan had been counting the days for a long time before and couldn't wait to actually see Thomas. He had a great time, although I wish the railroad would be a little closer to where we live. Being stuck in a car for two hours with a tired toddler sure is not what I call fun! He did great though all things considered. Take a look!

I am sorry about not writing more. Just trying to catch up for now! Have fun!
